The service

RetroPrompt provides free 1980s-inspired AI portrait generation and prompt examples. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with APIMart, Google or any model vendor. Generated images may be inaccurate, may change a person’s appearance and are not historical photographs.

Your responsibilities

Upload only images you have permission to process. Do not use RetroPrompt for impersonation, harassment, sexual exploitation, deceptive identification, unlawful content or any use that violates another person’s rights. You are responsible for reviewing generated output before sharing, publishing or relying on it.

AI outputs

AI outputs can contain errors or unexpected details. RetroPrompt does not guarantee identity preservation, historical accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or that every result will be suitable for publication. Do not use the service as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial or safety decisions.

Allowance and availability

Each browser can generate up to three successful images per UTC day. Confirmed provider failures release the reserved allowance. Uncertain image-service outcomes may remain reserved until the next UTC reset. The service is provided as available and may be paused or changed for maintenance, provider limits or safety reasons.

No payment

No payment or subscription is offered. You are responsible for any data or network charges from your own internet provider.

Third-party services

Image processing is provided through APIMart, hosting through Cloudflare and optional sign-in through Google. Their terms and availability also apply. RetroPrompt does not control third-party model behavior or retention beyond the provider information described in our Privacy notice.

Disclaimer and limitation

To the extent permitted by applicable law, RetroPrompt is provided without warranties and the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of generated output. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
